Assessment

Assessment

The first step in any therapeutic process must always be a comprehensive evaluation of the problem.  This includes getting a complete history and can involve getting collateral information from family.  The presenting problem can be the tip of the iceberg and is often just a signal that something critical is amiss, much as a light on your dashboard indicates a problem under the hood.  A good assessment also elucidates underlying issues that may be holding you back.  Within the telling of your story are all the old beliefs, habits, patterns, clutter and unacknowledge/unhealed wounds that have been covertly sabotaging your freedom and happiness.  Dr. Blair helps her clients clarify where they are and where they want to go. The journey between the two, of course, is the adventure.
